8 Mammoth Mountain Summer Activities

Utilize Mammoth Lakes’ free public transportation system to get from your condo rental to Mammoth Mountain:

  1. Sign up for a Scenic Gondola Ride and take an aerial ride up the mountain together. Reach the top, stop for pictures in front of the summit sign, and grab a bite to eat at the Eleven53 Cafe.
  2. Ride the Mountain Coaster, Mammoth’s newest attraction, and zip down the mountain this summer.
  3. If you visit with kids, the Adventure Center is a must-stop for summer fun. Purchase a two-hour or all-day pass and access the rock climbing wall, bungee trampoline, ropes course, junior zipline, STACYC pump track, and archery.
  4. Climb the Via Ferrata, a network of climbing routes using steel cables, iron rungs, and suspended bridges on Mammoth Mountain. Challenge yourself to an epic rock climbing adventure!
  5. Play a round of golf at Sierra Star Golf Course, an 18-hole championship course overlooking the Eastern Sierra.
  6. Explore Mammoth Mountain’s scenic hiking trails, ranging from easy to strenuous. From the family-friendly Discovery Nature Trail to the challenging Mammoth Mountain Trail winding down the back of the mountain, there is a route for everyone!
  7. Ride the Mammoth Bike Park and explore 80+ miles of singletrack, which offers fun pavers, berms, jumps, and drops. The park also offers a beginner-friendly Discovery Zone and biking lessons for first-timers. Bike to the trails and lifts from our resort!
  8. Take the Red Meadow Shuttle from the Adventure Center and visit the natural wonders just over the shoulder of Mammoth Mountain. Venture into the valley and visit Devil’s Postpile National Monument and Rainbow Falls. Please keep in mind that the Red Meadows access is currently under construction and has limited access at this time. Please check the Forest Service website, Reds Meadow Reconstruction Project, for more details on when you can visit!
