We had a phenomenal experience! The condo was beautiful and inviting – the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was the perfect size and it had all of the things that we could have possibly needed and more. It also had gorgeous views and felt quiet and secluded. If that was not good enough, the location was perfect – really close to transportation, trails and shopping without feeling like we were in the middle of the chaos. Everything about the condo enhanced our stay in Mammoth. We cannot wait to return!

It’s rare to find a spot that balances convenience, comfort, and a bit of magic, but #542 does! We’ve stayed here several times, and every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. The condo is charming and cozy, with a big picture window looking out onto the forest–perfect for morning coffee or evening wine. The location is ideal: just a few hundred feet from Canyon Lodge, so no parking stress and an easy walk to the lifts, while still being close to town. Inside, it’s stocked with books, puzzles, and games, has a kitchen with all the essentials, comfy beds, and an oversized couch perfect for afternoon naps and extra sleeping space. #542 is convenient, comfortable, and thoughtfully put together—always easy to settle into, and always hard to leave.

What a truly wonderful place to stay. This charming 2 bedroom condo is stylish and so comfy and has absolutely everything you need. I especially enjoyed waking up every morning with a cup of coffee by the window watching the sunrise and the world go by. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the kitchen had all the essentials and was spotlessly clean. The ski lifts are just a short stroll away no need for a long drive with parking right outide your door. I left feeling rested and often think when can I go back. Enjoy your stay!!!

What an amazing getaway my husband and I had! From the comfortable beds, romantic dining area, cozy ( not as in small) lounge…it was fabulous. My favorite place of all, the window seat with a strong cup of coffee where I could plan the runs for the day!!! And did I mention proximity to Canyon… so amazing to literally walk 5 min to the chairlift! The owners have done an amazing job in making one feel at home. We hope to be back many a time!

Finally writing a review after our amazing stay last summer since we’re looking to book again for in the fall this year. Our stay in Unit 542 at Mammoth’s 1849 Mountain Rentals was everything our group hoped for when we planned a Mammoth summer hiking get away. The 2-bedroom condo with a primary bedroom and a second bedroom featuring bunk beds with trundle felt really spacious and was ideal for our group. The location couldn’t be better since it’s right at the base of Canyon Lodge, with hiking and biking trails out the door and the Village Gondola just steps away. The condo itself was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully updated but still had that warm welcoming lodge feel. The spacious living space and large dining table, with huge windows that framed the beautiful views were perfect. The oversized window seat was MY favorite spot for an early cup of coffee to watch the sunrise paint the sky. Kitchen had everything we needed to prep full meals and the huge BBQ located near the pool was ideal. Bathrooms were spotless with plenty of soft towels and enough warm water for all. The bunk beds and king size bed were very comfy with extra linens, pillows, towels, etc in the closets. Fans are provided to quickly cool down the rooms in the evenings. Getting in and out of the condo was honestly one of its best features. With drive-up access and assigned parking, it made loading/unloading hiking gear, hauling groceries and retrieving forgotten items (I am always forgetting something) a breeze. Also very convenient to double check the car for food after each day trip so Mammoth’s curious “trash pandas” didn’t get tempted. We did have a mama bear with her cub stroll through the parking lot. Absolutely adorable and she could careless about us – one of the highlights! We loved how close we were to hiking and biking trails and town. The hike to Devil’s Postpile and Rainbow Falls with it’s stunning waterfall right on the John Muir/Pacific Crest Trail was awesome. AllTrails app is the best for planning all types of hikes, in our opinion. After our long days hiking the most awe inspiring trails, we spent hours relaxing in the pool and hot tub. The other guests were incredibly friendly, and one family we met has been returning for over 40 years! A couple of food stops we highly recommend: Mammoth Brewing Company has an awesome patio, live music, and their “Damn Good Burger” really lived up to the name. Looney Bean Coffee has excellent coffee, flaky pastries, and a chorizo breakfast burrito that fueled us up for the first few hours of hiking each morning. Don’t miss out on Unit 542! It has everything for the perfect vacation as a family, couple, or group of friends.

410 is the greatest condo. Sleeps so many comfortably. 3 full baths, and the great room is so large and comfortable. The large windows in the living area make for awesome views. We had the best time cooking, playing games and spending time as a family. We will be back!

Epic vacation! This condo has it all! Wonderful location, walking distance to the ski lifts and down into town, great outdoor space with hot tub, pool, game room and bbq area! All the little touches inside the condo are just perfect…comfortable beds, close easy parking, large beautiful dining space, comfy couch in the living room, and beautiful art throughout! The window seat is the perfect place to watch the sun rise or just take in the beautiful trees! The entry holds all the snow gear perfectly, hooks in all the right places to hang things. There are small fans in the bedrooms for air circulation as well as extra blankets and pillows. The kitchen is well stocked with all the amenities, bathrooms are clean and have good water pressure, and there are plenty of games and puzzles for all. Our family would go back in a heartbeat and can’t wait for our next trip! 100% recommend this condo to anyone and everyone!

This is a great open, airy condo. Has everything you need. Nice table for eating/playing games. Big sectional sofa in the living room. Lots of firewood available. Close to jacuzzi. The best part is you pull up right in front to park. In 10 steps you are inside the condo. No stairs to climb with all your stuff. will definately stay in this unit again.

Nancy and Bob have created a homey, comfortable condo in excellent taste. The 3 bedroom, fully equipped condo and kitchen are easy to access and are in the most perfect location, just a short walk away from Canyon Lodge and the gondola! I have stayed in many locations, and condos in Mammoth and #409 is unsurpassed. This is the only location I will book form now on!

Location,Location,Location. We loved returning and staying in this beautiful and comfortable condo. We keep returning here as it is one of the best places to stay steps away from the Canyon Lodge and the new six pac Canyon Express. Exiting the condos private parking garage (where your car is out of the snow and elements) you only have to walk across the street to the slopes.This is by far the best condo in the complex, newly remodeled interior with comfortable beds and a great modern kitchen with everything you need for your stay. Large panoramic windows offer natural light and views of the mountains. This is a perfect two bedroom condo for two couples and even offers a large loft for a third couple or kids. Just a few minutes drive from town, covered parking, steps away from the slopes, elevator from the garage to the floors, and a modern comfortable condo are all the reasons we come back every year to enjoy skiing Mammoth.

I have visited Mammoth several times and this was the nicest unit I have ever rented. This was my first time staying in this particular unit and it was great, very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The unit is a very short walk to the Canyon Lodge so I never needed to drive to a lift.

Gorgeous condo and just steps from the lifts. Meticulously furnished with everything you need for cooking and comfort. The beds are awesome. Easy underground parking.

Beautiful condo in a great location, Very nice being able to walk over to Canyon Lodge and not deal with parking at the resort but still close to town. Really like the amenities, particularly the hot tub and sauna. Bathrooms were also very nice and beds were comfortable.

Great location to access Canyon Lodge just a short walk across the parking lot. Unit 105 is beautifully finished and very comfortable for up to four guests. Comfortable beds, heated floors and a well designed kitchen provide the perfect place to restore after a day of skiing. We highly recommend this condo. We’ve stayed in this exact room twice now while attending the Mammoth Festival of Beers and Bluesapalooza (2018 & 2022). This spot is VERY close to the Trolley stop right across the street, which makes getting around easy (without driving). About a mile walk to the event, if you are so inclined. We’ve walked between the 1849/Snowbird area and Bluesapalooza plenty of times over the years (it’s NOT a flat surface walk, in case that helps someone decide) The room itself features a very large, two shower head shower in the main bathroom. Perfect for couples. VERY spacious. The sunroom is nice. This spot is a bit rustic (not modernized) but the way I like it. We have been very happy with this particular room in the past. We love staying at this condo (unit 622 at 1849 Condos) every year. It was recently updated with new kitchen and bathroom. Very comfortable for us and a couple of children. There isn’t a better location—-it is directly across the parking lot from Canyons ski lodge. Service is also very good, as manager has gone out of his way to get the few extras we needed. Thank you. This is a perfect place for a Mammoth stay. Location was very convenient to lifts, right across from Canyon Lodge. This beautiful condo looks newly remodeled. Loved the heated floors, soft cozy carpeting, and lovely kitchen! Can’t say enough nice things. We would highly recommend this property! We are the owners and have been coming to 1849 for over 30 years, long before Paul passed it on to us and our children a few years ago. My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Snowbird 105! The four of us slept comfortably in the condo, which was clean and fully equipped with everything we needed to hunker down during one of Mammoth’s largest snowstorms. To top it off, when the slopes opened up, we were just steps away from Canyon Lodge (and were able to literally ski in and ski out). Will absolutely stay here again, it was fantastic! Unit 303 at 1849 Condos The unit is an excellent location when the canyon lodge is operational, you could simply walk to the lifts or the gondola to the Village center. The home is cozy and comfortable, the kitchen has all the supplies to prepare meals, and there are several games for the kiddos to play. Great Location, staff was extremely helpful in the booking process and getting the best room for our family. Loved the proximity to the Canyon Slopes. You should talk up dinner at the Austria-hof a short walk from the condo. It was a life-saver when we realized there was no food delivery available in Mammoth due to weather. Also thanks for the recommendation for Yvonne to stock our refrigerator prior to our stay. That was key during the 5 day massive snow we got.

We love everything about this place! It has walking distance to the lift and the condo is cozy and comfortable. Everyone at the rental company is beyond nice. We had an amazing stay and will book again next year!

We stayed in unit 543 (1849 Condos) and loved it! Much better than the overpriced village. This single level condo has a wall of glass looking into and over the trees spread out below as well as mountain sunrise views. It’s like staying in a tree house and has quite a lot of windows and space compared to other small, dark and dank 70’s and 80’s condos that are common in Mammoth. Parking is a dream – right outside close by the front door, with no stairs to navigate and no height restrictions common to underground parking. Unit 684 at 1849 Condos – 5 STARS We have been staying at the 1849 Mountain Rentals for many years. We usually stay in condo 684 (1849 Condos) and we are always so pleased with our time there. The condos are a stone’s throw from Canyon Lodge where you can pick up the lifts. Unit 512 (1849 Condos) – 5 STARS. We stayed in 1849 Mountain Rentals a few months ago and had a great time. The location is epic being that it is close to the Canyon Lodge and the staff is excellent. Our group had a few condos, but we stayed in unit #512 which was in great shape and looked like it has been well maintained over the years.
