All units are NON-SMOKING (of any substance) and DO NOT ALLOW PETS. (Eviction and fees apply.)


COVID-19: CLEAN AND CARE COMMITMENT 

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY

One night’s rent will be collected at the time of booking, to secure your reservation. Your remaining balance will be charged in full 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival. If you need to cancel or modify your reservation you must do so before the cutoff at 14 days prior to your arrival. When cancelling a reservation, the one night’s rent you previously paid will be refunded to you, less a 10% processing fee. After your reservation is paid in full, reservations are non-refundable due to cancellation or early departure. If a reservation is made within 14 days of arrival, the reservation will be charged in full at the time of booking and is non-refundable due to cancellation or early departure.

Please note: California law does allow cancellations with a full refund with 24hrs of booking regardless of circumstances, you may receive a full refund if you contact us within 24hrs of booking.

All guests are required to have a major credit card on file for charges, damages, and incidentals. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Taxes and fees are subject to change.


1849 MOUNTAIN RENTALS TERMS & CONDITIONS CONTINUED  


You must be 21 years of age to rent a unit. Reservations obtained under false pretense will be subject to loss of prepayment, rental payments, taxes, and fees.

CHECK-IN TIME: 4 p.m.

CHECK-OUT TIME: 10 a.m.  

QUIET HOURS: 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY is set by local fire code and is fineable by law. Guests found to be exceeding maximum occupancy will be removed from the premise and subject to forfeiture of any and all payments.

KEY DEPOSIT: $25 will be charged for each key not returned to 1849 Mountain Rentals. The guest is liable for incurred expenses should it become necessary to contact a locksmith.

CHECK-OUT PROCESS

Please complete the following upon check-out:

  1. Close and lock all windows and doors
  2. Turn off all heaters and lights
  3. Empty garbage in commercial dumpster in parking lot. Be sure to re-lock the units to keep the bears out.
  4. Load and start the dishwasher

Guests must return their keys to the 1849 Mountain Rentals Office, located at 826 Lakeview Boulevard, Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546.


NO PETS POLICY

We DO NOT allow any species of pets. A penalty of $1000 and eviction will be enacted with no refund.

In accordance with the American with Disabilities Act service animals are permitted in all our units but, emotional support animals are not. Please be aware that you are responsible for your service animal while on property and the animal must always remain under control or it may be subject to removal from the property. You are responsible for any damage that results from the animal being in the unit, just as you would be for any other guest.


NO SMOKING OF ANY SUBSTANCE

All units are NON-SMOKING of any substance. A minimum of $350 cleaning fee will be charged. California state law requires that smoking must be at least 20 feet away from all doorways and windows. 


DAMAGES, CAUSING DISTURBANCE, & EVICTION

Guests are responsible for any damages to the unit and fees associated with behavior that affects other guests. Please report any existing damages in your unit upon check-in. Guests may be asked to immediately vacate rental premises, without refunds or compensation, in the event of unnecessary and loud noise (nuisance or disturbance), breaking of 1849 Mountain Rental or condominium association rules, or other illegal activities. Any reservation obtained under false pretense and not adhering to minimum age, occupancy limits, pet/smoking policy, and supervision requirements are subject to immediate eviction without refund or compensation. 


MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PARKING SPOTS

Parking is extremely limited; we DO NOT offer additional parking at any of our properties.

The maximum number of parking spots allowed for the unit, and location of unit’s parking is listed on each unit’s webpage under Parking Amenities and is displayed on your reservation paperwork.

All guests are required to have their valid parking pass visible at all times to avoid towing at the vehicle owner’s expense.

HEIGHT OF PARKING GARAGES. 1849 Mountain Rentals Lodge, 6’6” and 6’9”; Snowbird Condos, 7’6”; Sierra Megeve, 7’2”. Please note, 1849 Mountain Rentals Townhomes do not have access to indoor parking.  

SUMMER OVERFLOW PARKING. Street parking is available from May 1 through October 31. 

WINTER OVERFLOW PARKING. Street parking is not allowed in Mammoth Lakes from November 1 through April 30. Paid overnight parking is available offsite at the following locations:

1) Mammoth Mountain RV Park

2) Berner Street parking lot, across from the Village at Mammoth

3) Mammoth Yosemite Airport.


ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING

1849 Mountain Rentals guests have access to (5) level-2 charging stations.  Special access is required, and instructions are provided to guests on their check-in paperwork; it is not an emergency if you cannot charge your vehicle afterhours, DO NOT call the emergency line.

Using the electricity of a unit or complex is not permitted and the renter will be responsible for any charges and damages resulting from illegal charging.


UNIT SUBSTITUTIONS

We reserve the right to substitute comparable accommodations without notice or liability should the reserved unit be out of order or not available for any reason. 


AFTER-HOUR EMERGENCIES 

For life-threatening emergencies, call 911.

For rental related emergencies (you are locked out, no power, no water, water leaks, ect.) please use the intercom located in the 1849 Mountain Rentals office lobby or call us at (760) 934-7525 and follow the prompts for afterhours emergencies to be connected with our afterhours support.

Do not leave a message and expect a call back afterhours, afterhours messages will be addressed the following day when we are back in the office.


SNOW REMOVAL FOR 1849 CONDOS

During heavy snowfall, guests parked in 1849 Mountain Rentals’ outside parking may be asked to temporarily move their vehicle to the street for snow removal of the parking lot. Please note, there is no overnight parking on the street so you must return your vehicle to the parking lot to avoid being towed.

Guests are responsible for snow removal around their own vehicles during their stay. Snow shovels are available at the front desk with ID.

SNOW CHAINS. 1849 Mountain Rentals is not a licensed chain installer. Chevron on Main Street will install chains. Here’s more information on snow chains, when you need them, and where to get them.


HOUSEKEEPING

There is no daily housekeeping service.


MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE

Individuals under 21 years of age are not permitted to rent units. Guests under the age of 21 must have direct adult supervision at all times when on rental premises. Absolutely no unit will be rented to vacationing students under 21 who are not accompanied by a parent or guardian of age as mentioned above. Any reservations obtained under false pretense will be subject to loss of prepayment, rental payments, taxes, and fees.


NO UTILITY HOOK-UPS

Motor homes or campers are not permitted to hook up to utilities on any rental premises. Here’s a list of hook-ups in Mammoth Lakes.


LOST AND FOUND

We will do our best to find your lost items however 1849 Mountain Rentals is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Should we locate your lost items you may arrange to have the item picked up from the office, or you will need to secure a shipping label and email it to us to get the item shipped back to you. Our email: Info@1849mountainrentals.com


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

All units are leased without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin or handicap. We reserve the right to change unit assignments if the need arises. Please note that all 1849 Mountain Rental properties are individually owned and because vacation property owners often make changes, furnishings and decor may not be the same as pictured on the internet. We make every effort to ensure that all the information on this website is current and accurate. We cannot be held responsible for errors or changes made by owners in furnishings and equipment.

The city of Mammoth lakes and consequently all our rental properties are in a remote area and limited options exist locally for parts, repairs and services. We will do our absolute best to ensure that all advertised amenities are working, however please be aware that we cannot remedy all issues that may arise during your stay. If an amenity is not in working order you must contact us prior to your departure to discuss your options for recompense. If there is an issue with the cleanliness, that must also be addressed prior to departure if you are seeking recompense.

The following amenities are exempt from recompense.

We cannot guarantee that the Internet or Cable TV will be working as they are provided by Optimum and they are notoriously unreliable.

We cannot guarantee that the pool or spas will be in working order during your stay, these amenities are the responsibility of the HOA’s for each separate condominium complex.

We cannot guarantee that you will be able to access Mammoth Mountain ski area, we are not affiliated with Alterra Mountain Company. Mammoth Mountain ski area does everything in their power to keep the mountain accessible however skiing is a dangerous activity and sometimes conditions warrant closure for the safety of guests and mountain staff.
