Here are the most popular hot springs around Mammoth:

Wild Willy’s Hot Springs

How to Get There: Head approximately 13 miles from Mammoth Lakes along HWY 395 and turn right at Benton Crossing Road. From here, there is a dirt parking lot and a .2-mile wooden walkway leading to Wild Willy’s Hot Springs.

Soak in two hot springs at one location! There is a large pool that is around 10 feet wide and generally hovers around 95 degrees. Nearby, there is a smaller tub that usually stays at 105. Please keep in mind that this hot spring is only accessible in the spring, summer, and fall.

Pulkey’s Pool, aka Hilltop Hot Springs

How to Get There: Pulkey’s Pool is close to Wild Willy’s and along Benton Crossing Road. Turn left after the cattle guard and drive up to a small parking area just a few hundred feet from the pool.

Pulkey’s Pool offers a cement tub that can seat eight people overlooking the Eastern Sierra mountains. The water flows from nearby and is over 100 degrees.

The Rock Hot Tub

How to Get There: Head south on US 395 and turn left on Benton Crossing Road. Then turn left on Whitmore Tubs Road and follow for a mile to the second dirt road on the right. Turn right and you’ve arrived at the springs!

The Rock Hot Tub is one of the most popular Mammoth Lakes hot springs, but keep in mind that it’s small and only fits around four people. This spring has one of the best views of the Sierra Nevadas!
