The 1849 Connection
The 1849 condominiums are more than just a place to stay. The complex is a part of the original Mammoth experience that Dave McCoy envisioned all those decades ago. Built by the McCoy family and inspired by Dave McCoy himself, 1849 was designed as a premier destination at the base of the mountain by the people who started it all.
- 1974: Dave’s third eldest son, Dennis McCoy, built The Lodge as phase 1 of 1849 condos.
- 1984: The Townhomes surrounding the Lodge were developed as phase 2, making it the largest complex in the Canyon Lodge area.
- 1987: The 1849 condo rentals program was created and managed by Bob Tanner, who was a colleague of Dave McCoy.
