Devils Creek Distillery
Devils Creek Distillery is owned and operated by John and Luan Mendel, who opened the distillery in their retirement. The Mendels have turned their passion into a genuinely original family distillery, naming “Devils Creek Distillery” after Mrs. Mendel’s novel Yard Sale, set in the fictional ski town of Devils Creek, California.
Devils Creek Distillery offers White Mountain rum and both California bourbon and rye whiskey guaranteed to please visiting connoisseurs. Both their bourbon and rye whiskeys received the 2020 silver medal from Sunset Magazine. Their bourbon received a 2020 silver medal from the American Distilling Institute, while the rye received the 2020 bronze medal from the same organization.
