At the same time, nearby June Lakes hosts a funky celebration for adults vacationing in Mammoth Lakes. New Year’s Eve Family Fun and Fireworks- The Village at Mammoth
The New Year’s Eve Family Fun and Fireworks is a mainstay celebration in the hills of Mammoth and one of the best community events in the area. For years, families have been coming to ring in the new year at Mammoth Mountain.
The celebration begins in the early evening and ends with a firework launch. Leading up to the fireworks spectacle is a slew of fun family activities. You can play some New Year’s Eve games with the group, such as corn hole, which is a bean bag tossing game or take the kids to the face painting station for a complimentary new look.
Those without children in tow will appreciate the cash bar serving beer, wine, and other beverages, and all ages can indulge in the gourmet hot cocoa and snack bar. All of this leads up to a fireworks celebration right outside the Village Gondola deck. If you want to view the fireworks from the gondola deck then you may purchase an online ticket to reserve your spot.
When you stay with 1849 Mountain Rentals you will have direct access to the village events with the free bus stops available on-site. If you are staying at Sierra Megeve or 1849 then you can get on the bus across from the 1849 condos lobby. If you choose to stay at our Snowbird condos then you can access the bus in front of Mammoth Mountain’s Canyon Lodge.
Funky New Year’s Eve at T-Bar
Get funky this New Year’s Eve at the T-Bar Social Club in nearby June Lake. This event is perfect for adults visiting the area who want to avoid the crowds at the Mammoth Village celebration. The T-Bar will ring in the New Year with Reno’s best funk band Jelly Bread. Listen to the eclectic blend of funk and rock and start the year with funky style. This event begins at 10 pm, and you can purchase tickets for Jelly Bread here.
We’d like to note that there is no regional public transit or Uber available to transport you from Mammoth to June Lake. So, we ask that you designate a sober driver or take a taxi back to your condo rental. Have fun and stay safe this New Year’s Eve!
A Quiet New Year’s at Austria Hof
Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Mammoth Lakes with a delicious and laidback dinner at Austria Hof. This German restaurant shares the lot with Canyon Lodge so you can easily get there from 1849 Mountain Rentals. We highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time, since this is one of the only restaurants open at night in Canyon Lodge and tables fill up quickly.
