Mammoth Mountain Trailheads

Mammoth Mountain is well known for its winter skiing, but it also has lift-accessed hiking trails and self-guided nature trails during the summer months! To get to Mammoth Mountain, hop on the free bus outside your condo to The Village at Mammoth. Then take the free yellow or green bus lines to the Mammoth Adventure Center and Reds Meadow.

Mammoth Mountain Trails

There are a wealth of trails to choose from at the mountain’s base, mid, and summit. If you are looking for an easy route, we recommend the Discovery Nature Trail, which is just a one-mile round trip. And if you are looking for a challenge, the Mammoth Mountain Trail offers a strenuous five-mile route.

Reds Meadow

You can take the shuttle to the scenic Reds Meadow Valley from Mammoth Village or from the Adventure Center. Here you can hike to impressive geological formations like Devil’s Postpile, a basalt column reaching 60 feet in the air. You can also visit Rainbow Falls, cascading 100 feet over a cliff.
